It all began with our love of wine

Where we started

Originally named Four Bears, a tribute to our amazing four kiddos, we began making wines of our own after Sean spent a number of years in the wine industry. This was in 2005 and to this day, we continue to make wines from premier appellations throughout California and remain family owned.

We introduced Pinot Noir from Carneros

Our time in Oregon was not only a special place where two of our children were born, but also the home where we personally fell in love with Pinot Noir. The Carneros Pinot Noir was our first Pinot Noir we made when we made our trek to California.

Across the nation

As we continued to grow our portfolio and our team, our wines could be found in more locations, both by the glass on restaurant menus and on the shelves in your favorite local markets. We can now be found in 49 states and couldn’t be more proud!

Welcome to the club

Building a wine club has been such a joy and allowed us to connect with so many of you. Sean Minor Wines were made to be enjoyed around a table, with loved ones and great food, and the club has allowed us to bring that experience straight to your front door.

Hitting the road

We’re our best selves when we’re on the open road, exploring, and finding new inspiration (with wine in hand, of course). We bought an Airstream named Lucille (aka bear #5) and we started making memories as a family all over the West Coast with her.

Today

We’re incredibly thankful for the community of wine lovers we’ve built and for the recognition we’ve received over the years. This year, Wine Spectator named our 2019 Signature Series Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir Top Value of the Year and awarded it 92 points!
